The Geiranger March
(0-1500 metres above sea level)

The Geiranger March is being arranged for the 14th time and follows the same track as the Half Marathon and the Dalsnibba Rycle Race up to Mount Dalsnibba. However, you may choose among three start locations with different lenght. The March is arranged by Geiranger Sport Association.
  • 21 km - Start at the Fjord1-garage at the ferry at 11.00-11.15. 1500 m height difference.
  • 16 km - Start at Dalen Gaard from 11.00-11.30. 1000 m height difference
  • 5-10 km - Start at Lake Djupvatnet from 12.00-13.00, 500 m height difference.
Registration
Registration takes place at the start location within the respective start windows.

Prizes
The prizegiving ceremony takes place at approx. 17.00 in the village centre near the start area. All contestants completing receives a medal, and you are also included in the drawing of nice gift prizes. The gift prize winners will be listed in the start area in the village centre and the gift prizes can be collected right after the march. The rule concerning registration before June 15th for gift prize drawing does not apply for the Geiranger March.

Practical information
  • Transport: bus leaving from the start area in the centre of Geiranger at 11.00 which passes the two other start locations. Return from Dalsnibba when required.
  • Registration fee: Adults: NOK 50,- Senior/child below 16 years old: NOK 30,-
  • Drinking station: a number of drinking stations will be located along the track and after finish. See map for details.
